VMWare cloud computing do you need support with this?

After installing the Windows Operating system we did a full install of SQL Server 2005 which include SP3. We did do that with SQL 2008 in advance of, but SQL 2008 is no longer using IIS to regulate the Reporting Services and therefore made it very difficult to manage the 2 applictions and their ports they use (hint: overlapping plug-ins are 80 and 443).
After you installed SQL 2005, it is possible to install vSphere vCenter 4. During the installation you may change the ports that will vCenter uses, however this can not work. SQL Report Services needs port 443 for internal communication. I had changed this port in vCenter to 444 when using SQL 2008, but apparently vCenter ignores that port setting nonetheless locks port 443 afterwards one - making Canceling Services kaput. So, install vCenter while using the default ports.
Now go into IIS (hint: SQL 2005 requires that you install ALL IIS solutions in Server 2008) together with change the port for any reporting services to dock 81. There is no need to touch port 443 to obtain MS SQL Reporting Services to work. Now open up the Report Services Configuration tool and select the Web Service Id tab. Set the appPool to "Classic. NET" for the Report Server and the Report Manager.
MS SQL Canceling services should work just fine truthfulness specify the new port inside URL when accessing that reports.
Why managed SQL 2008 not work for me? SQL 2008 Report Services does use HTTPS traffic a lot more than SQL 2005 does indeed. Since VMWare vcenter locks that port (even though you tell it not to help), SQL 2008 Reporting Services will not function properly. Please note that this can be a very high level view in the problems related to functioning VMWare vCenter and MICROSOFT SQL Reporting Services from the same server.
